PRODUCT EVOLUTIONS
Evacuation Simulator is brought to the market as a product in continuous development. This product is undergoing regular upgrades, with new features and enhancements being implemented. You can be sure that Evacuation Simulator will not become outdated and will always comply with modern technology standards.
Features Envisioned for Further Versions:
Server Part
  1. Role Planner Module:
    All fire evacuation training participants will represent themselves in this virtual world. It means that they will have their own characters with the assigned job position. All users will be logically broken into 2 groups:
    1. office employees who need only to successfully perform the evacuation.
    2. people that are responsible for fire safety and that have to facilitate the evacuation of other employees in the building.
    Office employees will also have different roles according to their job and position. Each role will have the assigned set of actions that are required to be performed during evacuation, e.g. accountant might have to take some papers, banker might have to close the safe before leaving the office, etc.
  2. Additional Features for Scenario Planner:
    Will provide the possibility to arbitrary set:
    • zones of open fire
    • zones of beam and ceiling collapse
    • zones of voltage danger (due to water sparkling upon electrical appliances when electricity is not turned off from the dashboard)
    • certain doors, windows and staircases as closed
  3. User Tracking & Management Module:
    Will provide the possibility for administrator to:
    • address any user/group of users during the training via voice and provide the advice
    • track all user movements on the building model and on the plan of the selected floor/room
    • change certain session settings on-the-fly based on the current situation
    • switch to "user view" any time, etc.
Client Part
Will support:
  • Realistic physics of object interaction (based on the assignment of materials, object dimensions, approximate weight, etc.)
  • Ability to use almost any objects in the building (e.g. break the window by using chair, hanger or trash can, lift the fallen beam by using steel craw-bar, etc.)
  • Adding of interactive realtime communication between all users via voice (VoIP will be based on our own in-house VoIP frameworks).
Enhanced Visual Features will include
  • object obstruction: broken glass, wood, etc., explosions
  • the lights may go out
  • character may receive injuries and give medical assistance to other people
  • character will be able to extinguish fire with an extinguisher, available water etc.
  • character will be able to learn to avoid flammable objects and toxic fumes
  • participant will learn how to avoid extreme crowding and bottlenecks
  • the sequence of certain events, assigning the time of their appearance, ability to play back scenes
