FEATURES
Evacuation Simulator delivers a number of outstanding features which are turned towards brushing up purely practical and essential skills among evacuation training participants. The first release version of Evacuation Simulator foresees:
Server Part
  1. Room Planner:
    Provides the ability to create and adjust the environment for the training. Supports the following possibilities:
    • to create the building by using in-built House editor (with the database of standard construction blocks and textures); will be based our in-house frameworks
    • to import building from AutoCAD and 3D Max
    • to place different furniture pieces in the rooms by using in-built Interior editor (with the database of standard furniture); will be based on our in-house frameworks
    • to import furniture models from 3D Max
    • to set and apply different textures to room interior (carpet, windows, doors, tables, etc.) using the preset textures
    • to change the floorplan by merging/separation of several rooms,
    • to create or import evacuation plan of the building, etc.
  2. Scenario Planner:
    Supports the possibility to create training scenario, i.e. to arbitrarily:
    • set the sources of ignition (on building plan)
    • appoint zones of smoke formation and its spreading speed
    • multi-user environment
    • insert bots that will simulate office random visitors (the injured, immobile, blocked, unconscious, panicking, those people who need general help, etc.)
    • sound effects, such as the fire alarm and other relevant auditory stimuli
    • supporting training documentation for the trainers
  3. User Evacuation Path Recorder:
    Administrator can view the path that the user had chosen on the floorplan with the checkpoints indicated and as a result, it is possible to evaluate the derivation from the optimal evacuation path after training. Useful stats appears after the player exits the building (showing the quantity of people taken out of the building, lungs condition, time, different objects usage and the overall score achieved). Login accounts and results history are also available for the Administrator.
  4. System Settings Panel:
    Provides the possibility to adjust general system settings, such as level of details, quality, etc.
Client Part
User has a possibility to walk around the building, pick and use the wet rag, open all doors, track the state of lungs and wet rag, gain points for health state, lead bots out of the building. Other visual features will include:
  • realistic smoke & fire spreading around the building based on physical laws
  • 2 arbitrary types of smoke supported (rare and concentrated)
  • active indicator of smoke concentration in the lungs
  • ability to use different objects in the office (such as rags, etc.)
  • active "wet rag" indicator
  • realistic evacuation plan (hanging on the wall of the building) which user should memorize
  • possibility to help other people find the way out of the building; the character acts from within a crowd, as would happen in real life
  • realistic 3D, multistory views, appropriate textures
  • timer (in seconds)
